In an age where online or offline all is not as it seems, this near-future, queer psychological thriller explores how close our ties to the internet are, how it affects our perception of reality, and whether the relationships we treasure appear the way they really are.
Alice, an easily-led, ‘starving artist’ type, and her high flying, work-addicted, paranoid television executive girlfriend, Maxine, go to Alice’s ex-girlfriend and recently single Jane’s remote home in Cornwall to comfort her. Jane is a bit strange, the house is a bit weird, and did I say it was remote? As Jane vies for Alice’s attention, and Maxine’s suspicions about them starts to be realised, Alice begins to unravel the threads of her relationship with them both. Or is it maybe with the walls, the floor, and reality itself? As the three grapple with the new technology of ‘going in the online’, and its advances in simulated virtual reality, Alice begins to become uncertain about who she loves, who she trusts, and where she even is anymore.
